Suzanne McMurry Leaves A Forever 4-H Legacy

An estate gift valued at more than $100,000 has established the Suzanne McMurry 4-H Memorial Endowment. Interest earned from the fund will provide support to 4-H Youth Development programs in Winnebago County for all the years to come in Suzanne's memory.

She embraced community life and volunteered extensively including as a leader for the Guilford Gainers 4-H Club for more than 20 years.

All four of her children, Elizabeth Russo, Sara Dady, Katy McMurry, and Robert McMurry, were Guilford Gainers 4-H Club members and participated in 4-H international exchange programs.

University of Illinois Extension-Winnebago County is presenting "Managing Diabetes", a 2-part nutrition and wellness program, on May 6 and May 13, 2008, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.

The $10 per person fee includes registration for both sessions, handout materials and light snacks. Reservations must be made no later than May 1 by contacting the Winnebago County Extension office at 815-986-4357. Registrations are limited to sixteen people, so sign up today!
