Weather One

Weather has a great impact on our everyday lives. It determines such things as what clothes we wear, and the plants that we can grow.

When we hear a weather report, do you wonder what causes the weather to be a certain way? What makes one day bright and calm, while another day is rainy and windy? What makes the wind blow? How are clouds formed? Why do we have seasons?

The weather is a complex and ever changing thing. Even though it is changing all the time, people can still observe things like clouds, air pressure, and other weather events to make faily accurate predictions on their own.

This program discusses several different areas of weather: clouds, seasons, air pressure, winds, global warming, and violent weather. Hands-on activities as well as demonstrations have been included. There are also some take-home activities.
