Greg Clark

Extension Educator, Crop Systems

Greg Clark is the Unit Educator in Crop Systems for University of Illinois Extension in Whiteside County. Clark earned an associate of science from Carl Sandburg Community College and he received a bachelor of science in agriculture with a specialization in agronomy from Western Illinois University and a masters degree in crop sciences from the University of Illinois atUrbana-Champaign.

Clark is a member of the Illinois Extension Agricultural Association (IEAA) and the National Association of County Agricultural Agents (NACAA) and the American Society of Agronomy.

He is actively involved and collaborates with several different agencies and organizations throughout Whiteside County. Some of these include Farm Bureau and the Agricultural Literacy Council.

Clark received the University of Illinois Extension Outstanding Program-Team Award in 2002 and he has also received a Certificate of Professional Development in Crop Sciences from the University of Illinois in 2000.

Program Offerings

Clark provides research-based information, radio programs, news releases, fact sheets, on-farm demonstrations and research as well as educational opportunities for area producers to attend throughout the year. Clark provides educational programs to producers about crop production, specialty grains, insect management, soybean cyst nematode education, agricultural education for youth, disease management, soil conservation, water quality, marketing, livestock and farm management. Area producers also receive the Whiteside County Agricultural Newsletter distributed on a quarterly basis.
