4-H Clubs

Whiteside County 4-H is proud to have 11 diversified 4-H clubs available to the youth of Whiteside County. Each club has a different emphasis, but in general spend time with fun activities, community service events, family and individual learning and growth. Whiteside County 4-H is available to all youth ages 8 - 18, developmentally disabled adults and cloverbuds ages 5- 7.

Erie/Fenton

  • Fenton Wizards
    Fenton Wizards spend the year skating, swimming, celebrating Christmas with the Winning Wheels residents, and learning about a wide range of 4-H projects. They alternate meetings between St. Ambrose Hall in Erie and the Fenton Methodist Church Hall.

Fulton

  • Fulton 4-H'ers
    With lots of enthusiasm the Fulton 4-H’ers have their club meeting at Fulton Emmaculate Conception church meeting rooms, the fourth Thursday of each month, with lots of activities and lots of fun. The Fulton 4-H'ers also have a cloverbud group.

Garden Plain

  • Garden Plain Ripsnorters
    Garden Plain Ripsnorters 4-H club meets at the Garden Plain Presbyterian Churchon every third Thursday. This club enjoys community and fun activities, and has an emphasis on visual arts. The Garden Plain Ripsnorters also have a cloverbud group.

Morrison

  • Cottonwood 4-H
    With a calendar packed full of family events, community involvement, and activities like a campout and pizza party, the Cottonwood 4-H club is very active. This group meets on the second Saturday at St. Peters Lutheran Church.

  • Spring Valley Hay Shakers
    Springing into action to enjoy pizza parties, and supporting the local food pantry and needy community families, The Spring Valley Hay Shakers make a difference. This group meets at the Whiteside County Farm Bureau Building every second Thursday.

Prophetstown

  • Leon Stickers
    The Leon Methodist Church is home to the Leon Stickers 4-H club every second Monday. These members enjoy many livestock projects, roller-skating, pizza and donating to community needs. This is a group for the whole family!

  • Leon Wide Awakes
    Awake to times of crafts, teamwork, and parties at the nursing home with the Leon Wide Awakes 4-H club. Join the club on every first Sunday at the First Lutheran Church of Prophetstown. The Leon Wide Awakes also have a cloverbud group.

Sterling

  • 4-H Latino
    The 4-H Latino Club meets every third Monday at the Latin American Social Club in Sterling. A variety of 4-H projects are studied from food and nutrition to visual arts, intercultural and much more.

  • Genesee Hillbillies
    This club is involved in a diversity of community activities from helping the elderly to dairy promotion. The Genesee Hillbillies 4-H club meets at the Jordan Township Building on the first Monday. Members participate in a wide variety of projects. The Genesee Hillbillies also have a cloverbud group.

  • Self Help Tigers
    The Self Help Tigers 4-H Club is a club developed for those adults involved with Self Help Enterprises. The main emphasis for the Tigers is food and nutrition.

Tampico

  • Hume Happy Hustlers
    The Hume Happy Hustlers 4-H club enjoys family activities such as cookouts, basketball games, sharing in the International Thanksgiving program, spending a day at 4-H camp, swimming, and roller-skating. This group meets every second Sunday at the Tampico Community Building.
