Stacy (Henn) Larson has over a decade of experience with University of Illinois Extension. She currently serves at the Vermilion County Extension Director. Prior to June 2008, she served as an Extension Unit Educator, 4-H Youth Development, for University of Illinois Extension in Edgar County. Larson provided leadership for the 4-H Youth Development Program including traditional 4-H and School Enrichment Programs.
Larson earned a Master of Science Degree in Family and Consumer Sciences in 2001 and a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics- Family Services in 1992 from Eastern Illinois University. Larson was also a graduate of the Paris Area Future Leaders program in 2002.
Larson began her career in Extension in October 1997 as the Community Worker, Youth and Family. She later served as the unit's 4-H Youth Development Educator from May 2001 to May 2008. She began her newest position as County Director for the Vermilion Unit in June 2008. Larson served as interim 4-H Youth Development staff in the Vermilion Unit from October 2007 through May 2008.
Larson is a member of the Illinois Extension Professionals for Youth Education (IEPYE) and the National Association of Extension 4-H Agents (NAE4-HA). She is a member of the Illinois 4-H Youth Development Team and the Access Systems Work Group. Regionally, Larson has served or currently serves on the 4-H Memorial Camping Association Board of Directors, East Central Regional Advisory Committee, 4-H Equine Challenge Committee, Illinois 4-H State Llama Show Committee, the statewide Computer and Technology Advisory Committee and Information Technology and Computer Services Committee.
Larson resides in Kansas, IL with her daughter, Madison and her husband Erik. Her personal hobbies and interests include riding and showing horses, flower gardening, and spending time with family and friends. She is also very involved in supporting the community. She was instrumental in the revitalization of the Kansas School parent/school organization and served as the group's president from 2003 to 2006. Larson also is active with the Kansas School FFA Alumni Association and was the recipient of the 2005 Honorary Chapter Degree.
