Superior Young Producer Scholarship
The Superior Young Producer award contest will be open to any youth 14 years of age or older who is a bonafide exhibitor at the Illinois State Fair Junior Show in the species for which he/she is entering competition. Age is determined as of September 1, 2008. The contest will consist of three or four of the following phases: skillathon, management test, judging and showmanship. Registration is required by July 1, 2009. Exhibitor may only receive a scholarship one time through out his/her 4-H/FFA eligible years as a junior show exhibitor. Exhibitors must enter and show at the Illinois State Fair Junior Show in the respective specie area in order to be eligible for the scholarship award. Applications are available on the Illinois State Fair Web site or at the Extension Office.
