Members of the Tazewell County Extension council contribute immeasurably to the effectiveness of University of Illinois Extension by helping to develop and implement county Extension programs and to secure the needed resources. Council member input helps to ensure that a planned sequence of educational experiences addresses local issues or problems.

The Extension council meets at least four times per year to address decisions that need to be made, issues for group discussion, and information that needs to be provided (such as reports, data, etc.).

Extension council meetings are open to the general public.

Tazewell County Extension council meetings are held in the Farm Bureau Auditorium, 1505 Valle Vista Blvd., Pekin, IL. The council meeting commences at 6:30 p.m. and concludes by 8:15 p.m.
