Lena Lucky Clovers News

The Lena Lucky Clovers 4-H Club met on Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at the Lena Community Building, This is one of the clubs regular meetings. All 4-H members and leaders made dairy posters for June is Dairy Month. The posters will be displayed at the Ag Breakfast, June 28th. Tina Kerr, called the meeting to order. Jason & Ashley Heimann led the pledges. Roll Call was to "someone you admire" 10 members were present, 2 leaders, and 3 guests were present. Jake Gilbertson gave the treasurers, $123. 09 in the club account. Dorothy Wire told of needs in the county; Ag Breakfast, General Project's Day, & the Fair.

Each 4-H'er and family signed up for various needs and July Show or Fair Registration Forms. We chose the day we could work at the pizza hut stand and the 4-H recruitment booth will be run by the Kerr's & Bobbie. Kerrs, Bowers, and Wires will clean up after General Project's Day.

A special thank you and applause was given to Darla Krogman for Dairy Posters and Linda Gilbertson for Dairy Window. The Lena Living Center is hosting "Moo Monday" June 30th. The Bowers Family will come and assist. The club will be sponsoring dairy treats. Also on Wednesday, June 25th the Lena Living Center is hosting a brunch free of charge. The 4-H'ers will have a door prize & dairy treats give-away between 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. Tina Kerr will assist Barb and Dorothy Wire.

The 4-H Club tour for animal projects and gardening will be seem, July 27th meeting at Gilbertsons for a planned lunch. Then the tour will be to the following farms: Krogrmans, Moests, Leverton, Bower/Lobdell, & Kerrs. The meeting motion to adjourn was made by Caleb Gilbertson and Bethany Gilbertson.
