If you or volunteers from your club are able to help out by making coffee cakes for Ag Breakfast, it would be greatly appreciated. Tech Team Goes to Nebraska

· The Tech Team met on April 28th at 6:00 p.m.

· We discussed that we were given a grant for a Tech Camp in Nebraska. The trip is from June 16 – 20, and the age range is 11 -14. The trip is fully funded by the Nebraska Extension office; however, we will have to come up with money for travel. We agreed that we could travel with the other counties going on the trip, and we will look into taking the Train or carpooling. We agreed that the kids going would be able to pay $30-40. We will need to do a fundraiser. Pam suggested that she has Lilly of the Valley at her house and she and Becca could plant them in pots and sell them possible at Wal-Mart. Nicole will call Wal-Mart and let us know. Other fundraising ideas are to write a letter to a corporation and ask them to sponsor us – Grant volunteered to write the letter. Places mentioned were Fehr Graham, Aero Inc. Computer Dynamics, and Higher Grounds.

· Check your Email – meeting reminders will be through email from now on. Everyone was asked to put their e-mail address on a sheet.

· Name is now GEEKS ON THE STREET, that was voted on in the April meeting.

· Robert led us in the ROBOTICS ACTIVITY

4-H Dairy Poster Contest Requirements

The posters must include "Dairy Promotions". The poster size should be 11" x 14". There will be five age categories: Cloverbuds, 8-11 years old, 12-14 years old, 15-19 years old, and Leaders. A participation certificate will be given to everyone, and a prize to Best of Show Ribbon will be given to the top poster in each age category. ALL posters must include: name, age, address, and 4-H club on the back of the poster. Posters are due at the Extension Office by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, June 20th. Posters will be judged by the public, at this year's Ag Breakfast. Posters will be judged on how they promote dairy products, their originality, neatness, readability, and audience appeal. Posters may be displayed at the Stephenson County Fair in your club booth. Again this year, the posters can be displayed in club windows and then brought to the Extension Office for judging. This is a great way to show off your artistic abilities!! Good Luck!!

Extension Partners

Extension Partners are grassroots advocates working for the success of the educational programs of University of Illinois Extension. They work along side legislators conveying the needs of Extension. They, along with community support have been very instrumental in getting our funding back for the 08 year. If you are interested in becoming an Extension Partner, please see the attached link. The cost is $20.00 a year, which supports the legislative advocates in Springfield. http://www.extensionpartners.org/upload_files/ExtPartnersBro_05b.pdf
