"There is nothing permanent except change." Heraclitus, a philosopher, said that, and it's certainly been true in my life this past year!

It is with mixed emotions that I tell the Stephenson County 4-H families that I will be moving to the Quad City Area. I am not sure when my last day here will be–I am waiting until I have secured a new job before I leave–my best guess is some time between late January and mid-February.

I will greatly miss this area, and the friends I've made through Extension. 4-H has been a big part of my life as a youth and as an adult. It has so much to offer, and I have been extremely fortunate to be a part of the Stephenson County 4-H program.

NEW ENROLLMENT DEADLINES: The enrollment deadline for previous 4-H members has been moved to March 1st. But, those who have gotten all of their forms in by January 3rd will have their names put in the hat for a prize drawing!

New member enrollment deadline has been moved to April 1st.

The annual 4-H Foundation Club Choice Pizza Sales are underway. You have until February 14^th to sell those pizzas. The pick-up day is scheduled for March 10^th, in Freeport at Highland Community College, Building R. We encourage all members to go out and sell the fund-raiser items like never before! Everyone who sells at least 20 items will get their name in a drawing for an I-POD. We appreciate everything you do to help support this endeavor.
