This series of four half-hour videos shows farming from planting to harvest, farm machines, farm animals, problem solving on the farm, and winter work. Each video comes with a teaching booklet, with script and vocabulary words. The tapes are appealing to a variety of ages and can spark discussion about ag issues, agrarian ways of life, products from the farm to you, ag careers, land use, and many other topics. A big and sturdy book called Look Inside a Farm is included. Two other great books, The Year at Maple Hill Farm and Our Animal Friends by Alice and Martin Provensen, extend the learning. Farm activity/coloring books are provided for each student when this kit is requested.
