Students learn about making change, needs and wants, bartering, and saving money in this four-lesson curriculum which is suited for students in grades 2-3. The unit can be used in its entirety or activities can be selected from each of the lessons. There are reproducible sheets, role-playing, discussions and problem solving for small or large groups. Play money is included in this kit so that activities can be conducted. Also included in this kit is a 25 minute video The Making of Money. Upper grades will enjoy the opportunity to visit the Bureau of Engraving and Printing in this video and see how our currency is made.
