Sarah Todd currently serves nine counties in northwestern Illinois as the Nutrition and Wellness Educator for University of Illinois Extension. She has been in this position since 1993. From 1988-1993, she served as the Home Economics and Youth Advisor in JoDaviess County for University of Illinois Extension. Sarah spent 8 years working for the Missouri Cooperative Extension Service as an Area Food and Nutrition Specialist. Additionally Sarah has held positions as a nutritionist with the WIC program, consultant to long-term care homes, hospital clinical dietitian, junior college instructor, and owner of a family restaurant.
Sarah has a bachelor of science degree in community nutrition and dietetics, and a master of science degree in home economics education, both from Iowa State University. She is a Registered Dietitian (RD) and a Licensed Dietitian (LD) in Illinois.
Sarah's programs deal with the topics of nutrition, food safety, food buying, and diet and disease. Her office is at the Rockford Extension Center, but she may be reached by contacting any local Extension office in northwestern Illinois.
Sarah is a native of Stephenson County (Winslow) and lived there until graduating from Lena-Winslow High School. She currently lives in Stephenson County with her husband and their four children.
