Stephanie Sorrells earned a bachelor's degree in history/political science from Illinois College and a master's degree in political studies from University of Illinois, Springfield.

Sorrells has worked with University of Illinois Extension as a CED Educator since 2006. Prior to joining Extension, she served as Assistant Planner with the Western Illinois Regional Council.

As a staff member for University of Illinois Extension, Sorrells is an active member of the Community and Economic Development Team and serves on a variety of local and regional committees and advisory boards.
