Come have your 2nd cup of coffee on us as University of Illinois Extension and Homemakers Extension Association team up for Consumer Morning, Thursday, November 12, 9:15 AM.
Mix Magic – 9:15
Start with a mix and make it something new. Cake, muffin, casserole mixes - come early to see what Carol Dyer and a team of assistants stir up. Suggestions welcome – bring your ideas for using mixes as you cook, also.
E-Shopping – 10AM
With the recipes on to cook, we'll direct attention to another "tips and tricks" as we connect with Consumer and Family Economics Educators Debra Bartman and Jennifer Hunt from University of Illinois Extension Quad Cities and East Peoria Centers to give tips and answer questions about purchasing on-line and through catalogs.
E-shopping: Tips, Tricks, and Transactions will make you aware of the advantages and disadvantages of shopping via catalogs and online. You'll learn how to safeguard your personal information when purchasing in a non-traditional way and understand electronic payment options.
Mix Magic Finale
You won't want to miss the end of the morning program when we return to the mixes to sample and evaluate what started earlier.
Please register for this opportunity to receive the participant handouts for the program. Once again, the program will be held on Thursday, Nov. 12 at 10:00 a.m. at the University of Illinois Extension, 402 Ava Road, Murphysboro. Call 687-1727 to register before November 11 or if you require a reasonable accommodation to attend.
