Character Development Those who work with and on behalf of young people, families, and communities can become involved in character education and promote ethical decisions in all facets of the lives of children and adults.
4-H Camp
Each participant needs to fill out a registration form and a health form to attend camp. The Youth Camp forms will have to be turned into the Extension Office.
4-H Enrollment Forms
The 4-H enrollment deadline to exhibit projects at the 2009 Shelby County 4-H & Jr. Fair is May 8, 2009. All projects must be added or deleted by this date also. Make sure you are enrolled in the project unit that corresponds to your project.
4-H Records
ALL 4-H records are due in the Extension Office on September 18. Each member is required to complete the following:
Illinois 4-H Member Record (white cumulative record), Green 4-H Project Record Sheet, Livestock Record (one for each project – rabbits, sheep, dairy, beef, poultry, swine, goats and horses have own records. FFA records are acceptable in lieu of livestock and crop records. First and Second Year Outstanding Award Form. SECRETARY, TREASURER and SCRAPBOOKS MUST ALSO BE TURNED IN SEPTEMBER 18. TREASURER’S BOOKS ARE MANDATORY AND NEED ALL REQUIRED SIGNATURES AND AUDITS BEFORE RE-ENROLLMENT OF CLUB FOR 2008/2009. NO EXCEPTIONS!!
Collegiate 4-H
Collegiate 4-H offers college students an experience after high school of volunteering with 4-H youth, serving their communities, and growing as a young 4-H volunteer leader. Collegiate 4-H is a nationwide program that can be implemented at any college campus. The website helps in providing resources in starting or finding a Collegiate 4-H club at any school (in any state!) and providing ideas for providing leadership to county, local, and state 4-H programs.
