University of Illinois Extension in Shelby County has as its Mission - Making a difference by putting knowledge to work. To complete our Mission educational efforts are focused in programming and community education in the following core areas; Agricultural and Natural Resources, 4H & Youth Development, Nutrition, Family, and Consumer Science, and Community and Economic Development. We strive to provide educational programs and research-based information that helps enable people to improve their quality of life.

Today's Features

Heartland Graziers Summer Pasture Walk will be held Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at the Bill and Michael Gass Farm. The program will begin with registration at 5:30 p.m. followed by the pasture walk and dinner. RSVP by calling the Shelby County Extension Office at 217-774-9546 or the Shelby County Farm Bureau Office at 217-774-2151.
