Council Members Provide Leadership

University of Illinois Extension Sangamon-Menard Unit utilizes the assistance of Extension Unit council members as it develops policies, programs and direction to better serve the residents of Sangamon and Menard Counties.

The council is made up of people from all walks of life. This group of dedicated volunteers meets approximately nine times each year to review fiscal matters, program updates and discuss issues brought to them by Extension staff and local residents.

Council Meetings

Sangamon-Menard Extension Council meetings are held the 3rd Tuesday of the month at the Univesity of Illinois building on the state fairgrounds in the Washington Room.

Summer Hours: Executive Comm. 6:00 p.m. & Extension Council 7:00 p.m.

Winter Hours: Executive committee 5:30 p.m. & Extension Council 6:30 p.m.
