Become More Active
If you are not physically active, spend less time in sedentary activities such as watching television and try to be more active throughout the day. Take the stairs or take a short walk on coffee breaks. Increasing physical activity will help to lose weight and to maintain weight loss.

Make a Lighter Chip
Craving chips? Try making your own homemade potato chips. Leaving the skin on, cut small white or sweet potatoes into thin slices and place on a baking sheet in a single layer. Spray lightly with olive or vegetable cooking spray and sprinkle with garlic powder or a combination of your favorite herbs and/or spices. Bake at 350° F. for 15 to 20 minutes or until crisp.

Eat Breakfast
Know what is one of the best things you can do before going to school each morning? That's right–eat breakfast! According to research, students who eat breakfast have higher math grades and reading scores, fewer visits to the school nurse, and show better behavior in class. So make sure you eat something for breakfast every day. Hey, who knows... it might even make you smarter!

Plentiful Fruits
It's summertime, and the fruits are plentiful. For something really different, sprinkle blueberries and reduced-fat feta cheese on your salad greens. With a great sweet taste and a high amount of disease-fighting antioxidants, blueberries are all-around winners.
