Becky Buckrop
Marketing/Local Resources Development
Becky Buckrop is responsible for marketing Rock Island County Extension's programs, writing grants,and obtaining sponsorships and donations for our vital programs. She has a B.A. in Communication Studies and a minor in Journalism from the University of Iowa (1988). Before joining Extension full time in October 2006, Becky worked as a marketing consultant for the Quad City Botanical Center for 10 years where she was responsible for special events, marketing, sponsorships and assisting in grant writing and development. She has also enjoyed working in marketing and development for a variety of non-profit cultural institutions in the Quad Cities, including the Putnam Museum, Davenport Museum of Art (FIGGE) and Palmer College of Chiropractic. Before relocating to the Quad Cities in 1990 with her husband Kent, she worked in Chicago at Mosby-Year Book Medical Publishers.
