Character Counts

Character Counts focuses on the six pillars of Character: Respect, Caring, Trustworthiness, Fairness, Responsibility, and Citizenship. Kits are available for K-12 to supplement Character Education. The kits include teacher lesson plans, hands-on activities and games to practice the six pillars of character. State Goals for Learning addressed: Social Sciences, Language Arts, Physical Development, and Health. Within these lessons, students will:

  • Experience each of the pillars of character with hands-on activities that are specific to the age of students
  • Create examples of the pillars with different projects
  • Understand the relationship between the pillars within the students and within the community
