Give the gift that keeps giving...for every farmer...past, present and future - great for Father's Day! Proceeds support Rock Island County 4-H!

Grandpa's Treasure was written to remind all of us, young and old, that our farmland and rural history are treasures worth preserving. This beautiful, photo-illustrated volume is presented in appreciation of the ongoing labor and commitment of the American farmer.

Have a great time this summer at one of our 4-H day camps - from cooking to science, from leadership to exploring cultures, we have fun day camps for youth in 1st grade through highschool. Click on the link below for details and then follow the links to the registrations.

Extension to host a Locally Grown Opportunities conference June 13, 9 am - 2 pm at Augustana College to bring together local producers, distributers, and businesses. The conference will identify the needs and demands of local businesses for locally grown products, to increase the number of markets for local producers, and to develop a network of local businesses working with local producers.

Bees are under threat and we need your help to discover why. We know very little about bee activity in home and community gardens and their surrounding environments, but we are certain that they are a crucial link in the survival of native habitats and local produce, not to mention our beautiful urban gardens. Join the Great Sunflower Project to help our bees!

Community and Legislative Leaders can learn more about Illinois' Policy on Providing Mental Health Services, May 22, 3 - 5 pm. Mental health is a prevalent issue in many families and communities in Illinois and across the nation. This program will provide an overview on the status of mental health issues in Illinois, current policy related to mental health, and resources available to communities.
