JoAn provides leadership in the area of nutritionand wellness. She provides development and delivery of educational programs on topics such as: basic nutrition; nutrition and disease prevention, (such as diabetes, calcium and osteoporosis; coronary heart disease); functional foods; food safety,& food buying. She has a bachelor of science degree in home economics education, a master of science degree in family economics and she is a Registered Dietitian and a Licensed Dietitian in Illinois.
JoAn is a member of the American Dietetic Association, Rock River Valley Dietetics Association, Illinois Association of Family and Consumer Sciences, National Extension Association of Family and Consumer Sciences and Epsilon Sigma Phi.
