About SILC
The Southern Illinois Leadership Convention, or SILC for short, is a one-of-a-kind event planned by teens for teens! The 2009 convention is set for October 10 - 12 .
The program includes workshops, community service projects, dances, a trust walk, and time to meet new friends. Click the Program tab to learn more about the exciting workshops and community service projects that are offered. The convention is open to all Illinois high school students and other teens not yet 19 years of age by September 1, 2009.

About the Convention Site
SILC is being held at the SIU Touch of Nature Environmental Center, which is located seven miles south of Carbondale on Giant City Road. This outdoor learning site features state-of-the-art cabins and a beautiful outdoor setting. Join the fun while making new friends and developing your leadership skills. Early-bird registration by August 28 is $140. Registration from August 29 through September 6 is $160. Registration is required by September 4, or until space is filled ... whichever comes first.
The convention is limited to 100 teens.
