Julie Mumbower is the County Extension Director for University of Illinois Extension in Randolph County. She holdsan Masters of Science in Education Administration from Eastern Illinois University and a Bachelor's degree in Sociology/Political Science.

She is active member of IEAFCS, IEAA and Epsilon Sigma Phi. She serves as the secretary of IEAFCS in the Southern Region. Previous memberships include the Association for the Tutoring Profession, Mid-South Transition Planning Council, President's Council at Rend Lake College, Student Services Committee at Rend Lake College, and Sigma Sigma Sigma Alumni.

In her role as County Extension Director, Mumbower oversees Extension programming in four broad areas: nutrition, family and consumer sciences; community and economic development; agriculture and natural resources; and 4-H/youth development.
