4-H and Youth

4-H Committees

  • 4-H Ag Committee - A standing committee with the designated purpose of providing leadership and development of 4-H livestock and ag events.
  • 4-H Expansion & Review Committee - An ad hoc committee that focuses on promoting 4-H involvment by all youth in the local area and especially targeted area/audiences and under-served youth populations.
  • 4-H Softball Committee - A standing committee with the designated purpose of providing leadership and development of 4-H summer softball program.
  • 4-H Federation - Federation is the banding together of the local clubs into a central, representative body for the inprovement of the 4-H club program and the enlargement of opportunites for members. This group is for 4-H members in eight grade and older from any of the clubs in the county.
  • Extension Council - The Extension Council is authorized by the University of Illinois Board of Trustees, in accordance with state law, to be actively involved in the operation of University of Illinois Extension. Extension councils cooperate with Extension staff in planning, promoting, developing, implementing, evaluating and financing an Extension program designed to meet the needs, interests and resources of the local communties served.
  • Extension Board - A standing organizational committee of the Extension Council that provides advice and assists the local staff in carrying out finance or budget issues.
