Character Counts

Character Counts emphasizes the Six Pillars of Character. Those pillars are: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship. This program helps young people know right from wrong, assume responsibility for their actions, respect the rights of others, and develop decision-making and problem-solving skills. Young people also learn to use self-discipline to achieve goals, work cooperatively with others, maximize their use of time and talents, and develop good self-esteem as a product of responsible behavior.
