Richard Knipe, Ph.D.

Animal Systems Specialist, Beef and Ag Entrepreneurship

Richard (Rich) Knipe is Extension Educator, Animal Systems with an emphasis in beef cattle in the Quad Cities Center. Knipe's responsibilities include technical support and programming in cow-calf and feedlot production in the areas of nutrition, genetics, reproduction, and enterprise analysis. Programs are targeted for livestock producers, commodity organizations, agribusinesses and 4-H youth with livestock projects.

Knipe grew up on a diversified livestock operation in Ohio. He earned his undergraduate and doctorate degrees in animal science from The Ohio State University with an emphasis in reproductive physiology, as well as a master's degree at the University of Connecticut.
