Summertime and vacation go hand in hand.  If you're an animal lover, you know that an essential part of vacation planning is determining who will care for your pets while you’re away.  One popular option is to board pets at a kennel, and there are some key things to keep in mind that will help you select the right kennel for your companions.  Here we share advice from Dr. Allan Paul, small animal Extension veterinarian at the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine.  Just a small amount of preliminary research and planning will allow you to enjoy your trip knowing that your pet is well cared for in your absence.
