Building Skills For Lifelong Learning
· Over 500 participated in 4-H workshops, clinics, and educational events.
· 186 youth enrolled in 11 4-H clubs supported by 47 adult volunteers.
· 19 youth developed leadership and communication skills in 4-H Federation.
· 19 teens gained experience in teaching learning activities for 4-H members.
· Griggsville-Perry K-2 students participated in a comprehensive health education program.
· Approximately 50 youth attended Farm Safety 4 Just Kids Day.
· Over 80 classrooms in Pike County participated in one or more Youth Development lessons.
· All county third grade classes (196 students) participated in the seven lesson Operation Safe Kids program.
· Over 1,700 students participated in a minimum of 4 Ag in the Classroom lessons learning about agriculture and all types of agricultural commodities.
· Over 80 educators gained an in-depth look at agriculture and lesson ideas to incorporate agriculture into their classrooms.
· 42 youth attended livestock marketing workshops gaining presentation and promotion skills.
· 32 summer day-camp participants were introduced to entomology and cultural arts.
