The University of Illinois Extension Food Stamp Nutrition Education Program (FSNEP) promotes safe and healthy eating by providing nutrition education programs and materials for food stamp eligible residents of Piatt and ninety other Illinois counties.
Available Piatt County educational programs include:
- Healthy eating: 5 a day; Eat Smart, Play Hard; Food Guide Pyramid; Healthy Moves for Healthy Children
- Safe eating: Handwashing, Eating Right When Eating Out
- Food budgeting
- Monthly and seasonal topics
The Food Stamp Nutrition Education Program is funded with Food Stamp Administrative funds by the Food & Consumer Service of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Food Stamp Nutrition Education Programsare available at many locations:

- Libraries

- Housing Authority
- Churches
- Schools
- Youth Summer Camps
