Ag Statistics for Piatt County

Of the 102 counties in the state of Illinois, Piatt County ranks: 71st in population, 67th in land area and 46th in value of agricultural production.

The total value of agricultural products sold in Piatt County in 2002 was $71.6 million.

For the years 1999 - 2003, Piatt County has ranked in the "Top Ten Highest Yields" for corn, soybeans and wheat. Corn yields placed in the "Top Ten Highest Yields", 4 out of the 5 years - 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2003. Soybean yields were tops in 3 out of the 5 years - 1999, 2000, and 2002. Wheat yields took the honors in 2003.
