There are two options for taking the course. The classroom training will take place at the Tazewell County (Pekin) Extension office beginning February 1 and then continue at the Peoria Extension office March through April 19, 2010. The training occurs weekly, every Monday, 9:00AM-3:30PM (approx). Attendance is mandatory. The fee for the classroom training is $165.00.

An on-line course is also available. On-line training info will be available mid Oct. The on-line training fee is $250. All training is done by University educators and participants will receive a training manual.

On Wednesday, November 4, at 11:00AM the Master Gardeners will host an information session about the Master Gardener program and the training classes. Reservations are not required. There will be an opportunity to register for the classes at that time. A light lunch will be served afterward. Please contact the Extension office (309-685-3140) if you are interested in enrolling in the training program.
