The 2008 State Fair Premium Books have been posted on the State Fair website at http://www.illinoisstatefiar.info/ You can also click on the State Fair Link from our web page. If you do not have access to the web, contact the Extension Office for any entry forms needed.

Livestock entries to the Junior division are due in the Extension Office by Monday, June 30. All entries in the Jr. State Fair Livestock Shows must be signed by an Extension Staff Member.

The Superior Young Producer award contest will be open to any youth 14 years of age or older (16 years of age or older for horses) who is a bonafide exhibitor at the Illinois State Fair Junior Show in the species for which he/she is entering competition. Age is determined as of September 1, 2007.

The contest will consist of three or four of the following phases: skillathon, management test, judging and showmanship.

Registration is required by July 1, 2008. Exhibitor may only receive a scholarship one time throughout his/her 4-H//FFA eligible years as a junior show exhibitor. Exhibitor must enter and show at the Illinois State Fair Junior Show in the respective specie (beef, dairy, horse, sheep or swine area) in order to be eligible for the $1,000 scholarship award.

Applications are available on the Illinois State Fair Web Site or the Extension Office web site.

We will be ordering a small amount of State Fair Passes for Peoria County Day of August 13. If you would like to pre-order tickets you may do so by filling out the form below and returning it to the Extension Office NO LATER than July 8.Advance gate tickets will be $1 (please note that 12 and under get in free) and advance parking passes will be $4. Money must accompany the form.
