FSA EMERGENCY LOANS AVAILABLE
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

David B. Peterson, Farm Loan Manager, Farm Service Agency (FSA) in Oregon, Illinois, announced that FSA Emergency Loans are available in Ogle County due to damages and losses caused by excessive rainfall and flooding that occurred April 1, 2009, through July 31, 2009. The Emergency Loans are made available under a recent designation by the Secretary of Agriculture.
Family farmers unable to obtain suitable credit from conventional sources and sustaining damages and losses caused by flooding may qualify for FSA Emergency Loans. The interest rate is 3.75 percent. The maximum loan amount is $500,000. Loan terms vary with the nature of the loss and the type of security pledged for the loan. Applications for loss loans must be filed by May 9, 2010.
