Bits 'n Reins hold meeting
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The Bits n Reins 4-H club held their first meeting of the new 4-H year on September 15th, 6:00p.m. at the Payne's Point Church in Payne's Point. This promises to be an exciting year as the club welcomed seven new members, two which are clover buds. Election of new officers was held. Jackie Detig as president, Allison Reed as vice-president, Katie Roush as secretary, Harrison Bishop as treasurer, Sarah Vogeler and Danielle Lapp will share responsibilities as club historian, and our sentinel will be Faith Jones (a new member). There have been meetings of committees for agendas, the Stillman Parade, and the 4-H window display. Reports on old business were made which included a thank you from the extension office for donations made to the Children's Farm during the 4-H and Ogle County Fair. There was plenty of new business to address and these included activities for the month of October. These were picking a theme which is Agricultural, National 4-H week which is the Great 4-H Adventure, Officer's Training night on October 20th, October safety month - possible visit to the Firehouse in Stillman Valley.
