Circle M Has First Meeting of Year

Circle M 4-H Club had their first meeting of the year on September 14th, 2009. The following officers were elected to the following positions: President-Derrick Nelson, Vice-President-Jozi Steele, Treasurer-Jessica Weller, Secretary-Anni Wilson, Reporter-James Taylor, Recreational-Trevor Nelson, Adam Weller, Junior Leader-Sarah Melvin.

A tentative schedule was discussed during new business. Fees for this year were also discussed. The Fall Display for National 4H week was decided upon. The theme for this year is "The Great 4H Adventure". We will be decorating the window at the Sterling Federal Bank in Mt. Morris on Saturday the 3rd at 6pm. The display will be up all week. Our bake sale will be on Friday, October 9th, 11:00am-3:00pm at the Sterling Federal Bank on Main Street in Mt. Morris. The Fall License Plate Contest will be during the months of September, October, and November. Make sure you have some form of 4H symbol on your vehicle. October hosts will be: snacks: Pedersons, drinks: Wilsons. After the meeting was closed, the Circle M Shop was open. Members earned Circle M bucks during the last year. The bucks could be spent on a variety of items at the shop.

Our next meeting is on October 12th, 2009. Come see what we're about! Our meetings are held in the Brethren Church of Mt. Morris (enter in the south side door). We meet in the Fellowship Hall at 7:00pm. Cloverbuds meet at 6:30pm. Anyone interested in joining our club, please contact Judd & Angie Miller at 541-7181. Hope to see you there!
