Here are the results from the April 12 hay and straw auction in Orangeville, IL sponsored by the NW IL Forage and Grassland Council and supported by University of Illinois Extension.

Lot 1 12 large squares, 3^rd crop alfalfa, $67.50/bale

Lot 2 12 large squares, 3^rd crop alfalfa, $67.50/bale

Lot 3 150 small squares, 2^nd crop alfalfa-grass, $3.00/bale

Lot 4 20 large rounds, 1^st crop grass, $47/bale

Lot 5 36 large rounds, 2^nd and 3^rd crop alfalfa (weathered), NO SALE

Lot 6 15 large squares, 3^rd crop alfalfa, $66/bale

Lot 7 6 large rounds, 4^th crop orchardgrass, $61/bale

Lot 1-S 15 large squares, wheat straw, $37.50/bale

Lot 2-S 1 large round, wheat straw, brought as sample, NO SALE

Please Note: the final auction for the season will be Saturday, May 10, 2008 at 11 am at the Boco MinMart on Route 26, Orangeville, IL.
