4-H BOWLING CHAMPIONS NAMED

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
April 10, 2008

The championship round of the 2008 Ogle County 4-H Bowling Tournament was held on March 29^th at Polo Bowl. Seven qualifying teams bowled to determine the first place winners in both the junior division (ages 6-13) and senior division (ages 14 and up).

The qualifying rounds were held in February and March at bowling centers throughout the county. Thank you to the bowling centers for their continued support: Chelle-Crest Lanes, Rochelle; Polo Bowl; Town & Country Lanes, Mount Morris; and T-Byrd Lanes, Rochelle. Over 200 youth bowled in this year's event.

Championship Junior Teams

1^st Place – By-Y-Badgers 4-H Club, Byron (477 pins)

2^nd Place – By-Y-Badgers 4-H Club, Byron (428 pins)

1^st Place – Ogle Jolly 4-H Club, Stillman Valley (810 pins)

2^nd Place – Forreston Friskies 4-H Club, Forreston (728 pins)

• Cassie Smith, Dylan Joens, Kayla Rager

3^rd Place – Bits 'N Reins 4-H Club, (724 pins)

• Jackie Detig, Allison Reed, Garrett Koch

Scores at the qualifying bowl determined individual high games and high series winners.
