Congratulations to Lisa Woodworth, Mighty Clovers on being the winner of the grand prize in the license plate contest. Lisa will be receiving a night out which includes dinner and a movie. Her name was drawn from the thirteen families who called in after seeing their license plate number in the Winter 4-H Hotline. Everyone that called in will be receiving a 4-H mouse pad/notepad combo.
FAIRBOOK CONTEST WINNERS

OGLE COUNTY LIVESTOCK JUDGING
It will soon be time for livestock judging to begin. Stan Eden, our coach invites all 4-H youth to join in for the fun and challenge of being on the team. If you are interested in finding out more about livestock judging or joining the team please call the Extension Office.
GREEN COUNTY YOUTH GOAT SHOW
On Saturday, May 10th the Green County 4-H Youth Goat show will begin at 9:30 a.m. Registration fees will be $2.00 per goat and $1.00 per child for showmanship. Youth will also have a $5.00 pen fee and be responsible for their own bedding. There is not a limit on entires. For a class list and show order you may contact Gina Butson at ginab@mhtc.net or contact the Ogle County Extension Office. Registration papers are also available from the office.
WHITESIDE LIVESTOCK JUDGING CONTEST
U of I Extension – Whiteside County will be hosting a 4-H livestock judging contest on Saturday, May 17th at the Whiteside County Fairgrounds in Morrison, IL. Junior teams and individuals must have been age 14 and under by January 1, 2008. Senior teams and individuals must have been over 14 years of age by January 1, 2008. Event registration will be from 9-9:45 a.m. The contest will begin at 10 a.m. The following classes will be held: 2 Beef, 2 Sheep, 2 Swine, 1 Boer Goat and 1 Questions Class.
Approximately $400 worth of prizes will be given for winning teams and individuals!
Pre-enter by May 9th and the cost per team will be $30; cost per individual will be $10. Pre-enter after May 9th and the cost per team will be $38; cost per individual will be $12. Lunch is included in team/individual fee! Coaches/volunteers may purchase a lunch for $4 with your team/individual fees.
