Participants will receive some basic training and will compete at one or two nearby contests. Ultimately, they'll compete in the state 4-H contest in June. Call the Extension office by February 15th if you are interested.
2008 FAIR BOOK COVER DESIGN CONTEST
We are once again holding a countywide contest for the design of this year's fair book cover. If you are interested and want to show your creativity and talents, we encourage you to do so by creating a cover design. First place in this contest will win a prize and the pleasure of being the designer of the fair book cover. Don't worry, if you don't win first place, there will still be a prize for all who enter.
Here are the guidelines you must follow. Any entries that do not follow these will be disqualified and will not receive a prize.
Using large letters, anywhere on the cover include "2008 OGLE COUNTY 4-H FAIR".
Entries should be vertically illustrated on plain white 8½" x 11" paper, using black or blue ink only. Leave a 1" border.
If you use the 4-H clover (we hope you do!) please be aware of the clover rules. You may only use logos that are supplied by your leader or the Extension office. We will have logos available that you can cut and paste. Hand drawn clovers cannot have any H's on them.
Please use only original artwork; no computer graphics.
Entries will be judged on originality, theme, artwork and general appearance.
All entries will appear in the fair book. The winner will have cover honors.
Member name, age and club should be included neatly on the cover.
Entries are due in the Extension Office by 4:30 p.m. February 22.
