Illinois Master Gardeners - Helping Others Learn to Grow

The purpose of the University of Illinois Extension Master Gardener Program is to provide horticulture information specific to local climates, soils and plants as well as training the general public, based on University of Illinois research, when available.

The Master Gardener program is an all-volunteer organization sanctioned by the land grant institution in each state and functions as an extension of the college or university. In Illinois, the program is sponsored by University of Illinois Extension.
