April Littig earned a bachelor of arts degree in sociology/social work from Illinois College and a master of arts degree in dhild, family and community services.

Littig is a member of the Morgan County Teen Pregnancy Prevention Group and is co-coordinator of the Greene-Scott Family Violence Coordinating Council. She is also active in the Morgan-Scott-Cass County Youth Council in affiliation with the Morgan County Consortium on Prevention. In addition,Littig is involved with Illinois Extension Professionals for Youth Education (IEPYE) and the National Association of Extension 4-H Agents (NAE4-HA).

The Morgan/Scott Extension Unit serves over 500 youth and 200 adult volunteers in 22 traditional 4-H Clubs; 290 developmentally disabled adults; and 22 youth in the 4-H after school program. The traditional 4-H Club setting provides members with an opportunity to develop important life skills including communication, teamwork, leadership and citizenship. Project work and clinics help members develop specific process skills related for the traditional 4-H experience.
