4-H and Youth
The Morgan-Scott Extension Unit serves over 500 youth and 200 adult volunteers in 22 traditional 4-H clubs; 290 developmentally disabled adults; and 22 youth in the 4-H after school program. The traditional 4-H club setting provides members with an opportunity to develop important life skills including communication, teamwork, leadership and citizenship. Project work and clinics help members develop specific process skills related for the traditional 4-H experience.4-H gives kids a chance to learn NEW things, develop NEW skills, travel to NEW places, experience NEW situations, make NEW friends, and have lots of FUN! Joining 4-H costs nothing--It's FREE. ALL KIDS in the third grade, or eight years old by September 1st of the current year, and those who have not reached their 19th birthday before September 1st, can become MEMBERS!
