Before you spend your money, you need to decide what is important to you. What is important to you will help you set short-term and long-term goals and spend your money wisely.
These ideas about what is important to you are known as values. Values are beliefs that you have. Values are influenced by things and persons that have touched your life.
Your values are influenced by your family, your church, school, community, culture, and friends. Some values you may have might include paying rent and other bills on time, education for yourself or others, contributing to your church, having a good car, or buying a home.
