Gardening Questions?
Is there a problem with your yard or garden? Are pests and weeds concerning you?
If you have questions, we have answers! University of Illinois Master Gardeners will be available this summer to help you with those gardening questions. They can assist in identifying problems and finding solutions. Bring your questions and any samples you have. Samples should be enclosed in a plastic bag or container and should be fresh to obtain a good diagnosis.
The walk-in Plant Clinic, located at the University of Illinois Extension office, is open every Monday from 9:00 a.m. to noon, every Wednesday from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., and the second Thursday of each month from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.* Master Gardeners will also be available to answer questions at local Farmer's Markets in downtown Bloomington on Saturday mornings and in Downs on Wednesday evenings.
Also, another great resource for Horticulture information is the McLean County Extension website at www.mcleanextension.org. Currently under the Horticuture and Environment link there are several links covering topics such as groundcovers, turf diseases, tree selection, ornamental grasses, and others.
Please Note: *The walk-in clinic will remain open during those hours through the month of October. If questions arise after that, please call the Extension office and leave a message. We will return your call as soon as possible.
