Dietetics Intern Rotation with Community Cancer Center's Interns
U of I Extension in McLean County will again participate in an ISU Dietetic's intern rotation. Extension is a valuable experience for Dietetic's interns in teaching opportunites. The intern will shadow our program assistants. Shadowingworked out well last semester as the Community Cancer Center Dietitian, Mary Kay Hollowayreported. I metwith the internand we talked about extension in general. In teaching our nutrition programs wefollow the "4A" format--- (Anchor, Add, Apply, Away) teaching technique. We assess impact with KASA. Did they gain knowledge? Change an attitude? Learn a new skill? Or make an aspiration?
