Illinois State Fair Changes Announced
Due to several factors the following changes will occur for the 2008 Illinois State Fair Jr. Show:
All 4-H General Projects will be judged on McLean County Day, August 15. One exception - Bicycle Rodeo will be judged on August 16.
Once judging is completed (Superiors chosen), the exhibits will be released. Projects will not be on display until 4 pm and no security will be provided for projects.
Judges will not be expected to complete judging sheets on each project - if a youth wants a judging sheet to write down what the judge says, they may request a copy to do so.
4-H Projects will only be judged Monday, August 11 through Sunday, August 17. 4-H will still be present on the fairgrounds during the 1st weekend of the fair will be in the following areas: Promotional windows in the Jr. Home Economics Building and Illinois Building, 4-H activities on the mezzanine of the Exposition Building, and the Jr. Department Livestock Shows (4-H and FFA combined, as previously scheduled).
