Global Connections is a multi-faceted program for teams of middle/junior high school students and adult volunteers. The Global Connections program focusing on Hispanic/Latino cultures was conducted during the summer at Lawndale Mennonite Church. Fifty participants from Cook, DuPage, Kane, Kankakee and Kendall counties learned about Mexican food, art, crafts, language and geography. The teams took the information they learned to their local areas to develop, plan and implement a global education event.
