The third presentation in our HCE series: "Diabetes and Medicare: Making Wise Food and Insurance Choices" - 1:00-3:00 p.m. Monday, October 5th at McHenry County Farm Bureau Conference Room, 1102 McConnell Rd., Woodstock, IL. Presented by Kathy Schmid, registered dietitian with a Master's Degree in exercise physiology and cardiac rehabilitation. Kathy has counseled clients with diabetes on making wise food choices for over 25 years. Join us for an informative session on the role of nutrition therapy for people with diabetes, and the qualifications necessary for people with Medicare insurance to receive individual medical nutrition therapy. Kathy will allow time for a question/answer period.

The fourth presentation in our HCE series: "Artifact Preservation" - 1:00-3:00 p.m. Monday, November 9th at the McHenry County Historical Museum, 6422 Main Street, Union, IL. Presented by Nancy Fike, director of the McHenry County Historical Museum, will discuss various methods for preserving your family photos, documents, and clothing.
